  If they don't know who and how many of whom they're representing, then how can they even properly represent? That'd be like me coming onto this forum and telling you I'm representing people with Alzheimer's Dementia in Boston. They don't know me, and I don't know them. How can I claim to speak on their behalf and claim to be feeding them if I don't know who they are? Likewise how can some obscure old white dudes with a token black claim to represent and spiritually feed God's elect here on the earth?

  learning the truth about the watchtower society can be very painful for a number of reasons.

  first, it is so disconcerting to realize that the core of your existence and the foundations of your beliefs are false that it can throw you for a real loop.

  as witnesses we are so confident in all of the answers we have been given, to questions that we never asked, that we mentally put ourselves up on a pedestal above the masses of poor, blind, wicked humanity.

  Miz, the higher ups are paying for what they've done and continue to do everytime a jw leaves, goes on with their lives and help others to do the same.

  I hear ya Jamie, but that's not good enough for me. Sometimes I feel like blood needs to be spilled. I said feel as opposed to believe because I'm going largely off of emotions, but in the name of justice and reperations, they owe a lot of people and families. To be honest financial restitution doesn't 100% cut it. I feel that heads need to roll, and I mean that literally.

  i'm thinking way outside the box here.... i looked up my thread title before starting this thread and guess what??.

  no one appears to have ever considered this question before.... i've seen far, far, far too many people of european/british isles/african/american extraction defending this regional middle-eastern 'god', without realizing that their ancestors would never have willingly consented to give up their own deities to worship this interloper thrust upon them, usually at the point of a roman sword... or occasionally for trading advantages, as in the case of many of the heathen viking - norsemen.... so.

  I don't know how I missed this thread. Good thread Ziddina! I'm just now browsing through it, fascinating question as well as responses. There's a side of me that feels if it never existed, life would be better off in the long run I think. Mankind would still have to learn the hard way that violence and underhandedness rarely produces positive results. Massive scale savagery would only last as long as it would take people to realize that respect for each other and other's property inevitably produces far better results than harming one another and taking one another's property.
